Our members asked for it, and they are going to get it. At our next meeting we will be doing a Scrum simulation! Curious about what Scrum is, how it works, and how it can benefit you? Come to our next meeting and find out. And an added benefit is you don’t have to put on rugby gear.

The Secrets of Agile Teamwork course coming to Florida (Jacksonville area) in October!

For those of you who attended the talk on “soft skills” in agile at the June meeting of orlandoscrum.org and you want in-depth knowledge on how to help your teams become more collaborative, this is the course for you!

The course is being taught by Diana Larsen and Esther Derby, authors of the Agile Retrospectives book. If you have ever been in their tutorials at the agile conferences, you know that this course will be highly collaborative, fun, and very enlightening.

Because of the collaborative nature, the course is limited to 10 participants. You can register now at Agile University

http://www.agileuniversity.org/course_details.jsp?courseid=131

Hope to see you there.

If you’ve worked with agile techniques, you’ll know that one very handy tool to have in your bag is dependency injection. In the Java world, this is often done using Spring. The Orlando JUG’s meeting tonight is on Spring 2.5 and beyond and should be great information for those of you using Spring as a D/I container.

RubyJax’s June meeting looks like a fun one. It is Ruby Best Practice Patterns by Rein Henrichs and I wish I could be there (but I’ll be at the Agile Tampa meeting instead). Get all of the details at the RubyJax post.

On June 16th the Orlando Scrum User’s Group will be having a meeting at the Altamonte Springs Panera Bread. You can get all of the details on the meeting post.

On June 18th, the first Agile Tampa User Group meeting will be held at the Microsoft office off Rocky Point. The speaker will be from a local company called Agilethought (http://www.agilethought.com) and is titled “Getting Started with Agile Development.” Get all of the details at the Agile Tampa web site - http://agiletampa.spaces.live.com.
