Facilitation for Everyone

Although knowing facilitation techniques is a primary role of the ScrumMaster, all members of an agile team can benefit from facilitation techniques and practices. Through this very interactive workshop, we will teach facilitation techniques necessary for effective agile teams, but unknown by many. Attendants will learn the facilitation role and responsibilities of the ScrumMaster. They will practice and learn how to help teams be more effective in carrying out their work through the use of techniques such as facilitating meetings (e.g.: setting the environment, starting the meeting, using a paring lot, using time-boxes, using team agreements), dealing with communication problems, asking questions (e.g. questions with context vs. questions without context, reactive questions etc.), dealing with dysfunctional behavior (such as lack of interest, aggressiveness, parallel talking, lack of focus etc.), consensus building, using drawings as a communication tool and others.
