Our topic this month is how to “Go, Grow and Sustain” your Agile Transformation across the Lean Enterprise!
Location: K-Force Staffing & Recruiting, 1001 E Palm Ave, Tampa, FL 33605
6:00 – 6:30 PM: Networking – Eat/Meet/Greet
6:30 – 8:00 PM: Empower Agile Teams main event by Scaled Agile, Inc.
The concepts behind the Big Picture drew from the knowledge pools of Lean, Kanban, Scrum, and Extreme Programming (XP), as well as Don Reinertsen’s “The Principles of Product Development Flow”. The distillation of these concepts into a single framework was applied in places like IBM, Discount Tire, John Deere, and Nokia with inspiring results. Inspiring enough to spur Dean to believe the time was right to prepare the ground for the Framework to be introduced to a larger audience.
Scaled Agile’s co-founder, Dean Leffingwell, wrote the book Agile Software Requirements, a best-seller that gave the world its first glimpse of what would eventually be known as SAFe. It described a framework—called the “Agile Enterprise Big Picture”—that visualized how to apply Lean and Agile practices and principles to the Team, Program, and Portfolio Levels. We will be giving away a few copies of the book during our game sessions at this month’s Meet-Up.
Rob Patrick, Enterprise Solutions manager for Scaled Agile, is based in the Virginia / Washington D.C. area. Rob has agreed to travel to our Tampa June meeting to lead us on a deep dive, share detailed insights into SAFe and has also graciously agreed to be our food sponsor.
Tampa Bay Agile Empower Agile Teams group is focused on covering a wide range of topics that will help improve the skills a team needs to be strong, adaptable and cross-functional, and always deep-rooted in Quality.
