About the Speakers

Om Patel

Om is an agile evangelist with a fervent passion for coaching teams to improve their effectiveness. He has over 25 years of experience in delivering successful technology projects using waterfall, hybrid and agile methods. His career roles span developer, tester, business analyst, project manager, program director, scrum master, and agile transformation coach roles. He has participated in agile transformation eff¬orts at clients like Atex, Disney, EY and PwC. Philosophically, he meets the organization where it is and works at all levels to develop incremental improvements in a pragmatic manner based on the change tolerance of the organization. Om holds several certifications including A-CSM, CSPO, CSaSP, ICC-ACC, PMP and PMI-ACP. As a continuous learner, Om is actively involved with various agile communities, and regularly attends meetups and trainings to expand his knowledgebase and expertise.

Tricia Barnes

Tricia is an ambitious product manager who leads her teams with a passion for delivering dynamic software. She enjoys partnering with professionals to create innovate solutions, fosters a productive and enjoyable team environment, and empowers teams to contribute their expertise in developing meaningful, high-quality features at a sustainable pace.

Tricia is also an advocate for her clients’ and stakeholders’ needs and is exemplary at communicating business value to her team members.

As a Scrum Master, Product Owner, and Project Manager in previous roles, Tricia also has experience implementing continuous improvements, removing roadblocks, and leveraging organizational resources to improve team capacity in various industries including Education, Finance Technology, Healthcare, and technology start-ups. Tricia has several certifications including A-CSPO, CSM, CSaSP, PMP, and CPM.

Tricia is committed to giving back to the community and has been an active volunteer with the Humane Society of Tampa Bay. She also enjoys promoting the startup community in Tampa by volunteering with Synapse Summit the past 3 years.
